There is great focus on strengthening the "core," the deep abdominal and back muscles, which is crucial for a healthy body. Ultimately, Pilates brings the body into optimal balance—one becomes both strong and flexible, and better aligned.
Pilates holds the possibility for infinite exploration, as there is no end to learning about one's body, "smart" movement, and the transformative power of the mind-body connection.
My name is Caitlin, and I am fascinated by Pilates. I am a fully certified instructor, and have been teaching for six years.
I take great meaning in helping people learn about their bodies—how to move well, how to build the "right" kind of strength and flexibility, as well as the value of uniting the mind and body.
